Hi, does anyone know how to get ableton start up with a template already in a place, for instance, certain effects on the buses, your favourite kick, clap and hi hat etc on the midi channels. Im sick of starting ableton up and starting from scratch with new tunes, it slows me down, and I wanna start...

thanks, im using a waves c1 compressor and for some reason i just dnt know how to sidechain with it, ive got this freeware sidechainer that i can sidechain no problem with but i cant seem to do it with the waves one anybody know how to?

was just wondering if im doing the correct thing here, when i create my drums i put them through a bus on ableton with compression and eq on, shud i also use compression on the kick drum its self? also i send the channels to Sends Only, is this the right thing to do, does anybody else do this? cheers.

i have a mackie satellite, if yur laptop doesnt have firewire your gonna have 2 get an external firewire card, u shud get an adapter with the mackie as well, a 6 pin to 3 pin firewire, however i tried my laptop with the adaptor and it didnt work, i read on the mackie forums that apperantly a bad bat...

if u have ableton try putting a sample in impulse, anything will do really, something like a rim shot and use the grain delay fx on it and just experiment u can get some really fucked up sounds like the kind i think your after
