Re: Using vibrato to thicken bass
Just trust yourseöf in questions like these, e.g. what sounds the best. Yeah, maybe I should, but I don't really trust my monitors. It might sound very muddy on other systems, because with the vibrato spreads out the frequencies of the bass. Vibrato bass is rather big in a style of music called dub...

Using vibrato to thicken bass
Did you ever use a vibrato effect to make your bass sound fatter? Do you think its a good idea? I have made a simple example in which I find the bass to be much fatter with the vibrato effect on it. http://www24.zippyshare.com/v/47573199/file.html The first 4 measures are without, next 4 with then 2...

I wouldn't care to much about the warping algorithm. Some known artists use it to get a specific kind of sound. Listen to the stretched sound starting at 0:04.
Don't care about sound quality, care about the feeling.

Re: Idea for a sampling plugin
I think it's something that already exists. Do you know which plugin this does? I'd like to have a plugin that automatically determines the tone of all the tracks in a project. Once it has determined the tones it could let you choose which scale use and adjust the tones automatically it would make ...

Re: Idea for a sampling plugin
how do you want to do this with polyphonic samples and drum- percussionloops? I didn't quite think about polyphonic samples yet, I guess that's a major problem that will arise. I will talk with my teacher about the subject coming week so I can ask him about this. For percussion I can measure in whi...

Re: Idea for a sampling plugin
Are you saying that your program will chop the sample AND ORGANIZE the bits on the keyboard automatically according to their root note (tone)? So it would assign keys, not in chronological order, but in ascending/descending order of tone? Yes, this is what I mean. I am not quite sure what you mean ...

Re: Idea for a sampling plugin
Yeah I know melodyne, its very powerful software, but it isn't quite the same, right? If you would want to do the thing I suggested you have to analyse the audio fragment with melodyne, look for when a certain note appears, slice the audio at that moment and map it to a keyboard. You would have to d...
