I sorta do what Barfunkel does and put in an arbitrary beat to build other elements around. Then when i get a few other things going the new elements tell me in what direction to take the beat. I recently got a yamaha rx 5 that I'm just learning how to use. While playing around with it i realized i can send MIDI from it's sequencer to a synth (a roland jv1080). Turns out she didn't steal it. Just asshole employers who "jumped the train" (haha) on blaming here without knowing anything. Just a horrible accident it seems like. Also now it's the employers that are under investigation for lack of security on the trains.

I can't help but think of burial as a similar artist. They have a similar sound and are both computer based. They both make very soulful music. Also I always had the impression that shed and burial work from very clear ideas of were they wan't to go. Their music dosen't sound that improvised to me. ...

Maybe obivous but you could try filtering the sample sound in very drastic ways to understand it better. Try omitting some of the tones played in the chord and so on.

What steevio is saying! My guess AK is that what your describing as strange is simply different harmonic content in the two sounds. This harmonic content relates tonaly to the perfect 4ths in different ways. Since both sounds probably have a perfect 5th as a part of their harmonic content the amplit...
