Right on, thanks steevio! Never thought of analyzing another track. I was only listnening. Im just a beginner, never thought of that one :) I tried it myself and noticed the peak on 33th bar for the sub @ E0 40hz. But i couldn't tell for sure where the kick was hitting in my spectrum. How do you ana...

I practice 3 to 4 hours a day ;) In april 2011 i will begin to study @ SAE in Amsterdam. That will be a real eye opener i guess. What do you do before sending your track to a engineer in case of volume? The only info i can find is talking about clipping and about the masterchannel. Are there any rul...

Making a (sub) bass sound good or full in your mix.
Hi, Most techno tracks i listen to all sound very full. Every sound seems to have his own place. The bass isn't sounding very hard but it gives the track enough body. The high hats and fx etc do sound much louder often but it all fits together. My problem lies mainly in my lower sounds / sub bass, g...

PS: Like opuswerk said, that was also my reason of converting it to wav. But more for creating my own samplebank with these wav-files. And Its a file on its own. So no relationship with the mp3 file anymore. I know when a sound is lost, where i have to look for it. I can delete that mp3 or move it t...

Its just my thought by converting it to WAV i have a 1411 kbps file and it reach the same kbps/bitrate as many other files i use wich are from samplebanksite or other samplepacks. I also thought whil...

Thanks for the reply guys. So if i understand you right: If your sampling a mp3 file (320 kbps) it has a low bitrate and this will cause a low quality sound? What if you convert this mp3 file into a wav file (1411 Kbps), does this make any difference? Are you creating a higher bitrate by doing this?...

Using mp3 samples in your track.
Hi, Sometimes i sample a sound of mp3 file and use it for 1 shot or something like that. But i was wondering: If your sampling and using the beat-part of a mp3 file ( 320kbps), will this cause any sound-problems after mastering the track? Gr Koen PS:A link to a earlier forum about this subject is al...
