i Think guru and battery are a very hot combination .....
you don´t need more for amazing drumsound (samples)

for shure and if it sounds just as good as the 909 this will be killer!

i'm using battery3 via ableton, along with massive and absynth and it is a little bit on the slow side,

the samples that battery have are the best, so i was thinking of uninstalling battery but keeping the samples and using them in impluse kits and samplers, would anyone advise for or against this.

ppl often dont realize whats obvious - ableton is quite a sampler on its own. can you tell me what is it that it cannot do, that any of the afore-mentioned vsti's can? i say import your samples directly into audio tracks in the sequencer.
