Music Theory

Post by gowans »

Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there knows nice chords and chord progressions, scales or modes or just some nice bit of music theory they know that they use in there tunes. I've found that m7 chords sound nice for stabby synth sounds or just piano in house music, but is there any others that people use some theory in techno/minimal. 8) :D

Get music theory courses\piano lessons.

No way around it if you want to explore tonal music and have a grasp on it.
And I don't care what any lazy fucker says about that.

Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

yes i know. :)

good thing about the site is that it shows you which keys to press for each chord + tons of variations and chord progressions for each. alot of new stuff to discover.

I'm more interested in microtonal and nonwestern scales / progressions.

remember the notes inbetween the notes...
