Since net labels come and go...
I wanted to do an up to date 2014/15 new poll on top/fav net labels..
do you think I should add all the ones from the old poll?
or just on new input from new post in 2014?
please share your thoughts
Any interest in collecting a new 2014/15 fav netlabel list?

I'm not sure if this part of the forum is lively enough lately to get much response other than from those promoting their own labels. So maybe just a sticky thread, with a list of currently active netlabels would be cool?

Well, in the end thats the point. current relative net labels. The list we had before was gigantic, and I'm sure half of those websites are gone.
a better, more significant, smaller list is ideal

nope, now they just put them on beatport insteadJohn Clees wrote:Ppl got bored of making mediocre stock tracks?
I think there's still a decent amount of free stuff coming out on bandcamp and other platforms now, as opposed to the "classic" netlabel style release. By classic I guess I mean the previous decade, the days of thinner, textone, etc...
And also there does not seem to be much of a prominent hub to collect everything that is coming out, it's all seeming to be scattered across social networking anymore. But still, especially for techno/mnml stuff, I agree there seems to be far less output than there used to be.

very valid points! those times have evolved into more artists based - direct relation with websites like Bandcamp.
Perhaps we could post links of relevant artists they have band camp pages?
perhaps we could create a list of links of new tracks we could maybe hear some of our favorite artists that have band camp
pages, and the option to support the artist direcly..
