[MIX] Vector Components - James Greig

This is my first attempt at a techno mix so go easy on me :D . Didn't try anything clever, just wanted to lay down a nice selection of tracks I've discovered in my first 6 months of minimal listening.. and a cheeky wee tune of my own that I've been working on... http://mp3s.tonguengroove.co.uk/james...

Help choosing an artist name for mself

Hi! New to the forum...

What do you think I should call myself:

James Greig

or something more exotic like:

Defense Analyst

I like all the German producers who use their real names, but does a Scottish name sound interesting or just stupid?

listening to v2....

i'm liking the throbby feel, a kinda throaty-frog synth?!? :D

the way the vocal is spliced in is clever but maybe it should happen a wee bit earlier in the track, i dunno, or more elements in the first few minutes to keep your interest...

maybe add some (fairly sparse) pads?

an interesting tempo to try and make work, so props to ya, but it's almost unbearably slow (to start with in a good way but pretty soon i found myself losing interest) if it had totally popped off after a couple of minutes that coulda been interesting. have you listened to any 2562? it's dubstep but...

James Greig - Defence Analyst

Hey folks, I'm new to this genre and the forum, used to make lots of electro/breaks until I discovered some techno that I loved. This is the first minimal/techno tune I've tried so any feedback much appreciated: http://www.3stripe.net/mp3s/james_greig_defence_analyst_192.mp3 Also any production basi...
