Re: Re-Compose "Liquid Notes"
thank`s for your replys and nice tipps! Yeah, I know the fifth circle... my method so far is to pick out 2 or 3 chords and make a melody around their notes and alter it or add tension notes here and there. But it takes me so long if I wanna do it "right"... Or better said to please my own ...

Re-Compose "Liquid Notes"
Hey mates, has anybody tried this software? http://www.re-compose.com/liquid-notes.html I know this and that about chord progression and even harmony analysis but often don`t have the constancy to write progressions/alternations/cadenzas for a whole track. Added to this I love random results so I th...

Re: Really good video about creativty, workflow, motivation
I think you have to pay for pt2&3. Would love to see those parts too.
After watching this I did half a song in 2 hours. I should watch his video always before I go producing

Re: psychoacoustics
hairblz : I think Steevio is right, it`s quite the opposite. Intermodulation is a known, fully explored and explainable topic and mainly used by electrotechnicians whereas missing fundamentals and fund./overtone listening is an unexplainable topic in the psychoacoustics. The difference between them ...

Re: psychoacoustics
Hmm... both has it`s "benefits". Overtone-hearers can hear long-lasting tones, low frequencies and timbre/tone color "better". Fundamental-hearers can handle complex rhythms better and are supposed to be better virtuosos on instruments. "Indeed, most professional musicians p...

Re: psychoacoustics
ok, that`s what wikipedia is saying > "Research conducted at Heidelberg University, as described in the January 2006 issue of the German audiophile magazine AUDIO, indicates that the general population can be divided into those who perceive missing fundamentals, and those who primarily hear ove...

Re: psychoacoustics
very interesting topic! Certain chords are feeling bass-heavier to me than others although there shouldn`t be so much bass produced by those notes. (But it`s not very reproducable for me) Then I cut the bass but yet I can hear it... I thought I am going to get mad because there is no bass which I ca...

Re: DIY Monitor Stands
I`ve built the monitor stands myself too because the stands I used before sucked out the bass of my monitors too much ... I just bought 2 exposed-aggregate concrete panels, 10 garden bricks which are made for cultivating plants in it and another 2 nice looking panels which are used on top of the sta...
