automation is best used over longer patterns, say 4 bars. this mainly for lower operational resolution reasons but also for convenience. for quick modulations its always best to use lfos and envelopes (preferably of a good synth/sampler)... I pretty much use the opposite approach and use automation...

Nice track mate! Love the dark spaced out vibe of it.

One thing that would be cool is if in the breakdown all the elements dropped out of the track, just leaving pads and reverb tails. But thats just a matter of taste.

I bought a oxygen 8 v2 a few months ago to tide me over till I could find a midi trigger pad that totally suits my needs.
