The think about the old Akais is they have a great sound to them. They have apunch that they add to drum samples that is hard to get from any other samplers. The E-mus have a softer sound to them. Hardcore compression to me is using it as an effect pretty much. Over compression really. Using it to get that pumping breathing sound, ya know?

It sounds like you don't really want it around. If you can't be bothered to want to sample with a sampler, sell it. It's a sampler, that's all it is. If you're not gonna use it, ditch it.
