Re: anyone use an analogue step sequencer?
Doepfer MAQ 16/3 can store 30 sequences but remember that because the knobs are analogue and have no 'pass through' function when you enter a saved sequence that has values different to those displayed by the knob when you turn the knob it will jump straight to that value. So editing stored sequence...

Re: anyone use an analogue step sequencer?
Doepfer maq 16/3 is excellent for creativity and features but a bit fiddly and you have to stop the sequencer to change settings reliably. I sold mine for a Cirklon and I don't regret one bit. For me its all the best bits of analogue sequencing but with all the best bits of standard sequencing and s...

Re: Sequentix-Cirklon.
Posting this from a phone so will be brief but yes I have one. I was on the list for ages and received it about three weeks ago. No manual for it yet but pretty intuitive and Colin fraser is incredibly helpful and quick returning questions and new OS's. What can I say about it? Its everything I want...

You can route the MIDI clock on using MIDI throughs but the more you do this the more latency you will add further down the line. To this end I use a motu MIDI express xt. I got it cheap second hand it its not only a great 8x8 USB MIDI hub but also an extensive MIDI router/ patchbay. I've set it up...

If you have DAW and you have external gear that has it’s own sequencer and you want to integrate the two it’s probably the best piece of kit you can buy. Seriously. I'l...

@hydrogen: yeah I'm beta testing the synclock 2 plugin for them and its great. The current synclock 1 vst requires you to use a small pedal to reset the clock after you hit stop on your daw. The new one takes care of that for you meaning true set and forget action. You can also do cool things with t...
