Eos and RP-Verb. I'll probably pick up a convolution one day to round it out, but those two and my DAW built-ins handle pretty much all my needs at this time. I'm particularly fond of Ableton's Reverb on drums/percussion.

I like it. Good FM sounds, and the sequencer, once you get your head around it, is pretty fun to use. You can also use automation to change the pitch of each voice for further fun :D Or if you want to use it for chords, etc. I don't think it'll respond to MIDI coming into it aside from C4-B4, iirc.

Audio Damage releases Axon - FM percussion machine

http://www.audiodamage.com/instruments/product.php?pid=AD026 I wasn't a huge fan of Tattoo, but I love this little thing (and I mean little, the UI is pretty small even on my 1280x800 MacBook  It's also under 2MB for the Mac version. It's taking me a little bit to get my head sorted around it's...

I used to love Ableton's compressor, but now I'm a much bigger fan of Studio One's comp, especially for side-chaining. I just get much better results from it, and quicker.

Of course, either way I'm stuck as far as them both being first-party plugs.

I'd do it. I'd rather write music I didn't like for money than what I do now  Writing music as my main source of income, even crappy music, would please me much more than sitting at a desk.

If you can't find/make a sound u like out of those 5 synths uve been using then ur lost! this. Lern2Synthesize. Hell, I heard some hits in that track that if you were to double them up, and automate a pitch transpose up on one of them with an LFO it could sound cool. Or garbage. Experiment and give...

Yamaha DX200 was my first purchase ever. I miss that little box, actually. I was jealous of a coworkers MC-909 at the time, but that little box was pretty awesome.

Topic: New drum machine & new synth?

Have you tried to learn how to effectively layer samples to make new sounds? On the synth note, if you're on Mac, I can definitely recommend DrumSpillage as a drum synth. 11 modules to load individually into it's 16 pads and lots of parameters for each. And it's 33$ off until Thursday :) It doesn't ...
