the arc went on sale last night at 7pm GMT+1. the arc 4 was sold out in 15 minutes (i think there were 50 units) and tehn extended the amount of available units from 50 to 100 for the arc 2.

so that's the technical stuff... the other thing... relationships with vinyl.... you're completely right... having a relationship with a vinyl record is completely different to one with a CD when i rub my willy on vinyl i can feel every groove and bump in the record... plus i can look at the vinyl ...

the seller pulled out from the sale at the last minute. *sigh* i guess i'm on the lookout again.

i assume that's in euro right? in Switzerland a new Mk2 is around 850 CHF which is 663 euro. it's pretty crazy...

edit: and a Technics SL-1210MK5E is the same price. :/

unfortuantely from what i've seen in Switzerland, Mk2's sell for a way higher price than 300 quid per pair. as i mentioned earlier in the the thread, they sell for around 600 quid.

unfortunately second hand prices in Switzerland are higher than the rest of Europe. just yesterday i went to go and check out a pair of SL-1200 Mk2's that some dude wanted to sell for 700 Euro. they were really dirty and looking at the serial numbers, were manufactured in 1995. no cartridges either....
