Yes Ambience is amazing, for dubby chords and 80'ish snare rooms. Also a new freeware plug GlaceVerb is really good, maybe even better sounding then Ambience.
And the native Ableton Live reverb can sound pretty good if tweeked the right way, but it's relly too cpu-hungry.

Love that FM synth starting at 2:50 on B1 :D
My favorit is B2, really dark and kicking. Super nice production!
Like the concept of the record a lot, there should be more of this in techno.

It's really not importante who did the first two releases, it was just this material that kind of fit with the overall concept of kyoto - but still didn't sound deep and dubby enough. So it ended up being released anonymusly.
