Nobody's talked about the economy in here. Not only are music sales hurting, but car sales, electronics sales, clothes sales...

People who used to give themselves a $100/month budget (or whatever) for music are cutting back.

One thing I notice when I make beats at night is they always come out kinda sleepy... dreamy, relaxing. Not that it's a bad thing, but they're not exactly dancey, clubby sounds.

Right now I've been experimenting with evolving sounds. Sounds that subtly change timbre over time, either via Automation, delays, LFOs. Leads, drones, pads... Mostly knob-turning changes but also gradual LFO and phase stuff.

It sounds like that. Just chopped up/reversed audio. Original lead is almost close to a hoover sound. Saws + reverb?
