select clips in live view, click-drag them, hit tab, then drop onto arrange

It's kind of a shame they limit audio interfaces like that. it's the best way to stop piracy. i'm surprised others didn't do something similar. the logic dongle was a waste of a USB port. it looks like Pro Tools M powered is starting to allow things that aren't M-Audio. one of the Mackie onyx desks...

huh? I hear lots of chords in Kind of Blue. Playing it now. Sure, Miles Davis's trumpet doesn't play any, but it's a monophonic instrument—it can't play chords.

Educational discount. I bought the $999 Logic 7 for $279 with my school's educational pricing. Only thing is you can't upgrade, need to buy the new full version (or a new academic version) every time Apple releases a new one.

I do a good amount of producing/practicing in coffee shops, libraries. Much easier to stay focused and get "in the zone", instead of having the internet nearby. It's also nice to walk around the beach for 30 minutes and listen to some new music before stepping in to get a cappuccino. Macbo...

I saying, I can play the track (press "key" launch bass, drum,...) and record in same time. Logic cannot do that. You have to write your track with a pen you know? ... Logic can do that... you can even do multiple takes and stuff easier in Logic (over Ableton). Just hit record and play yo...
