One of Toronto’s best-kept secrets, Arthur Oskan has been rocking loft jams, warehouse parties and after-hours clubs throughout the city with his sublime, synth-driven sound for over a decade. With a spate of notable releases on labels such as Restructured, Secret Weapon, Cratesavers and Third Ear, Arthur has recently begun to spread his name far beyond the reaches of Canada’s sprawling metropolis.

Myers Briggs is Arthur’s outlet for deeper minimalist tunes which stray from the jacking techno-house that distinguished his earlier productions. Sentient Sound is proud to present his first official outing as Briggs - and he delivers with emotional intensity and plenty of hypnotic funk.

Synthetic chords percolate through the bubbling moodiness of Forever, pulling the listener onward through waves of cascading tones, underpinned by rolling bass and solid beats. Special Finish revolves around a bouncy acidic bassline that lays the foundation for delicate textures and melodic atmospheres, while the insistent rhythm is designed to keep your floor in perpetual motion. Finally, Terminal applies a melancholy aesthetic to its skipping synths and lush string theme, but its quirky percussion is aimed squarely at the club.

With the INFP EP, Myers Briggs brings three memorable tracks of deep, Detroit-infused high-tech soul. Balancing emotive themes with technical restraint, each piece hits right where it counts.
