I think operator gets some unfair stick...Robot Criminal wrote:agreed.djones wrote:I'm finding Predator real nice lately.
Never really thought Albino was such a great bass synth, as it never really gets that oomph in the sound.
And when you turn open the filter a bit, it looses all of its deeper frequencies
I'd say operator kicks some serious ass.

Cheers! Its an amazing synth, I use it for pads and thin sounds, but compression makes sense, any ideas how to get rid of the 'phaze cancelation' (i think its called), where the tone looses power intermittently due to the detuning of waveforms...?ksandvik wrote:Usually FM8 needs compression to get strong bass lines, based on my limited experience using it (two tracks, to be released soon). --KentMINIMALTECHNOHOUSE wrote:a1, waldorf atack, albino............
cant get fm8 to sound right tho.......
its called phase beating, and you dont wanna get rid of it, for its the key to strong basslines.MINIMALTECHNOHOUSE wrote:Cheers! Actually I get this problem a lot... I've resampled the parts that have the strongest points and loop those. Sometimes a bassline will totally kill itself and that sucks.s.k. wrote: its called phase beating, and you dont wanna get rid of it, for its the key to strong basslines.
