For me the Machinedrum SPS-1 I bought earlier this year. I thought I'd like a hardware machine instead of looking at a laptop screen all the time, and it should be about the best drum machine available. But in the end I found everything I did on the Machinedrum could be done faster and easier in software. Never used it in a track. And for live use I already have enough to keep me busy with Ableton and a bcr2000.

Maybe I'm just a software type of person. Or maybe if you didn't start out with hardware it doesn't make as much sense. I don't know.

At least I got it pretty cheap and can probably sell it on for about the same price.

been thinking about buying that piece of hardware in the future, but i'm glad you posted this cuz i was having thoughts weather it makes sense to combine hardware with software.
Drop the idea of becoming someone else, because you are already a masterpiece.

m-audio firewire 410 sucked completely, totaly hanging in live when using my inspiron6400, updated drivers didn't fix it. now i use a firewire solo that it's totally rock solid on this machine. weird.
