Fokko Versloot, Sander May & Tom Noah - Staples

Post by Fokko »

Hey hey hey!

Here's a new track which I made with Sander May and Tom Noah, two friends. It's a bit less Italian and a bit more tribal, but well, why describe things when you can take a listen here:

We already tried and tested it at three different parties and it worked really well on the dancefloor. Enjoy yourself!

Listening as I type...

ikeing the kicks a lot, really punchy. The drop is also really nice minimal and efficient. Loving that buwa sound. Realy liking the vibe you have there!
Hi's could be a little higher. So as to sound really inside your head.
The percussion sound is really nice, but I geuss could do with just a litlle reverb, and maybe some more lows in it as to be more percussive.
now they have it, but it's maybe bit too much ;)
Booom what a second drop!!! This is one hell of a rack!
Loving it ^^

But the hi's aren't hi enough in my opinion. As I find they tend to clash each other out.

Good work.

Good stuff :D I'm feelin the funk! After the break at about 3.45 when the perc comes back you could add another counter hook but thats just me.The mix sounds great in my room!

hey fokko,

i like, good drive, and nice breakdowns. Maybe add a few more sounds later on, or some subtile pads or something. As for the hats i see what everybody is saying here. However from my own experience i know that the 'myspace quality' kinda kills this things due to the quality, so i dont know if its true what the people are saying here in the full quality version of your song.

Peace out of Amersfoort,

R
