Minimal Monitoring
I've got Alesis M1 monitors, some people say their crap but i know them well and my mixes sound good on club systems. So it's just better to use what you have and stick to it. I used some good hi-fi speakers for a couple of years and my early mixes sound good considering i didn't know much about equalization and basic production techniques.

I myself got ADAM P33A retailing at 2000 € per pair, yet they are not high end, the S3A are retailing at almost 4000 € per pair, now we speak about high end monitors
I wonder in how many PRO studio they rely on krk, with these coloured mids...
