Didn't know there was any minimal scene to speak of in VA. I'm liking this track a lot. Great vibe. I love the echoes and the little squelchy melody. Tight track dude.

Thanx man!
It actually just got signed on Communique the day after I posted this so I guess watch for it now on Beatport and other online digital distributers.

We do have a minimal scene in Va, but it is a small one.

Measax and Jeff on Stirsound live here and Bryan Zentz used to be a resident as well.
We are having Dan Bell down very soon too!

Kick sounds like it's lacking a decent presence around 50-80, a bit "rubber" sounding
though I don't think the mypsace player is doing you any favours.
Not sure what their compression ratio is on their uploads....
Your hats are a bit hissy also and seem to lack a nice reverb/stereo spread

The intro was uninspiring to be honest.
The bass though a familiar sound is still a pleasing one :)
I can nod my head a bit now, I would dig this in a set.

synth is a bit raw and digital sounding for me

Not to be patronizing here, but I assume your new-ish to production?
as everything sounds okay, but didn't have that bit of extra quality that makes a track sound "tight"...

I'm new here so I don't want to come across as being a party pooper, or overly negative.

but hopefully you can appreciate constructive comments good/bad alike.

the track on myspace was encoded to 64 mp3 which gives it that hissy crappy production sound. It definitly sounds better via wav or 320 mp3 but I hear yah. I am actually not new to production, but I haven't made a track since 2002. This is the first and I plan on spending a lot more time making music now. I appreciate constructive critiscism for sure though! it's how I get better ;-)
Thank you!

the bass sequence in the background could be mixed more to the front..that would give a fat bassline..

If you organise parties over there..you know where to find me
