Jeff Mills
He is quite messy as a dj, and either pulls it off and produces an amazing set, full of adrenalin and energy (really great!) or he just doesn't get into the flow and spends the whole time trainwrecking and making awkward errors...
I've seen him play both kinds of set, I've seen youtube videos of both, and heard people's reports of both... Basically he will either blow your mind with a full on, energy filled crazy stomping set, or embarrass the dancefloor with basic mistakes and errors. Very unpredictable!!
(Personally I dislike the fact that he plays so many of the same records for such a long time. They must be wafer thin!! For someone who must get sackloads of promos and free records, he sticks to playing the same few tracks. Seems to be living in the past and relying on former glory to me...)
Just found out yesterday that he is supposed to be playing Glade festival this year, which I am probably going to. Looking forward to seeing him there!.

In the UK, started off as a dance tent at Glastonbury, then became a festival in it's own right:

Small, friendly, no corporate sponsorship, not even any official lineups released. All just word of mouth... Last year Had Hawtin, Magda, Marc Houle, Jim Masters, Derrick May and the Black Dog. Not bad ;-)

If you think techno music came about using equipment that was technologically advanced for its time, then you'd better do some research son!jpls wrote:yes...not embracing technology when playing 'techno' is somethingKilevox wrote: Everytime when I see him mixing, I think

I saw it here like a year ago... but now the link is dead...
It's a short burst of total sexyness. We can only see the decks, mixer and his hands in it.
