M. Kaden & M. Hemmann @ Bla Bla Studio Amsterdam 27.9.08
Moderators: John Clees, Benjamin Fehr, Tim Tor, Thomas Melchior
Kaden has really found himself a distinct sound these days - the cross-continental drum use is really showing its worth, and that live set is a great display of it. It's nothing short of amazing. I sadly missed the opportunity to see him last time he played in my hometown, but hopefully he'll show up in my vicinity soon again!
I would say Martinez is quite influenced by Nima Gorji, but it also seems like he is returning more to his deep-house roots. But I just like the way it is such a percussive take on house. As amazing as all the chileans are, this is just more bumpty-bump and 4/4 for the floor, and I kinda like that.:regi wrote:it seems to me that also martinez is switching to that sound..GLAM wrote:Kaden has really found himself a distinct sound these days - the cross-continental drum use is really showing its worth, and that live set is a great display of it!
