Argentinean producer Rudolf returns on Mean records under his Perro Magnetico guise to deliver yet another beautifully crafted release of sophisticated electronic dance music that lies somewhere between house and techno.
The in-from artist has been receiving a great response from crowds and dj’s throughout the globe after his ‘Digital Farmer’ EP on Serialism and the more recent work ‘Wax Poetic’ on Archipel, getting international recognition and support from artists like Matthias Kaden and Luciano.
This new EP on Mean does exactly what one would expect from this label; following on from the last two releases, Mean is quickly establishing itself as one of the top labels within the minimal house/techno scene and continues its upward trend with this release.
The a1 ‘You are welcome_Rudolf edit’ is a true dance floor jewel that softly builds up with long percussive rolling hi hats, trademark Rudolf robotic vocals and a very low, teasing kick that soon develops into a strong, sub bass accompanied affair, which explodes as soon as the higher pitched delayed vocals come in. The result is pure club music with a delicate eye on detail.
On the flipside we find the story ‘El Bala'. This tribally track gets a rewrite from Inxec, who is increasingly on-demand nowadays and has been becoming a good friend of the label in recent times. He ‘does it like this’, in his signature sound, offering a massive remix best described as a floor filler that will spin any party out of control. The original, on the other hand, is a subtle take with cool vocals and a jazzy feel throughout, perfect afterhours goodness!
The EP is complete with an extra digital exclusive track, an elegant tech-house edit of ‘you are welcome’ by Russian up and coming dj/producer Anushka.
