logic is alright for mixing, but if you can't make it sound good in ableton its not like logic has some magic tucked away in it that will make it sound better...

i've never mixed with Live so don't know much about it, but it's been said countless times on this forum.

i've only had limited experience with Live's EQ and i found them to be average. nothing special but it got the job done. what more would you expect from a software EQ?

Not sure why theres all these ableton/logic arugments here, everyone knows that cubase is way better than both anyway :lol: :lol: :lol:

I am tending to use Ableton's native plug-ins (especially EQ8 and Auto Filter) more and more and am not actually seeing much difference in the quality of my productions from when I was using other eq's Ive got. Plus they are less taxing on my system.

I love using Auto Filter for hard cuts. Dont touch the envelopes/LFO and the cuts tend to be quite clean imo.

1) autofilter seems like a 24db cut?!right?

2) if you set more than one pole from EQ8 in the same position (exact numbers) it works like a 1,2,3,4 pole filter in that frequency? it seems like pushing the freq back (in the graph) when you put more poles there.
