new Roland GAIA synth...

two things i dont understand about roland.

1. why they never send someone that knows english?
2. why dont they make a new analog SH? theres certainly a demand for the old ones. a new simple low budget analog should go well. if Alesis did well with andromeda i dont see a reason why 6-8poly analog sh wont do just as well.

ok ok my bad guys, i was swayed by its layout. it looked kinda nice imo
but clearly thats all it is, just looks. dunno what i was thinking.
was worth a laugh tho, no?

they got the right idea about the knobs and sliders for everything but they totally forgot about the analog circuits that make it useable.

Yeah, giving the SH-201 a name like that is a disgrace to the 101.

Yeah I was thiking if there's any legal action that can be taken there. It would be pretty awesome if there was a special legal subclause that covered this kind of thing.

just came back from music exhibition in germany and I ve tried the new gaia and it sound like a toy! There was also a live show with different synths from roland and also during the show the gaia was sounding like a toy.
I was impressed by the nord wave. Amazing how much different sounds you can get out of that synth. I m thinking of selling my MS2000 and Evolver (mono) to get at least half of the wave!
