UK, Leeds - 30.5.10 - RA Garden Party w Dixon, Chez Damier +

Part 2 of 3: Resident Advisor

TECHNIQUE & ASYLUM
present
The Faversham Garden Party

Sunday 30 May 2010
2pm – 4am

The second Bank Holiday weekend in May sees the mighty Resident Advisor head North to team up with Technique & Asylum in presenting the second Garden Party of the year at the Faversham in Leeds. Having collaborated a year ago to bring Craig Richards, 2000 and One and Simon Baker to a sell out crowd, the bar of expectation is set high for this year’s RA Garden Party!

The Garden Parties have become notorious for quality and atmosphere, a definite marker in the calendar for Bank Holiday activities in the UK. Building on the success of 2009’s sell out events this year sees the Faversham’s main room refurbished with a custom-built booth, a new layout and Funktion One sound installed, which will undoubtedly be fully tested on the night! The terrace will again, be extended to accommodate those who wish take full advantage of the rare opportunity to revel outdoors and there will be further tweaks to improve on previous events.

Having been in cahoots regarding line up for some time now RA, Technique and Asylum have programmed a bill which takes in a bit of just about everything that’s great in house music today. First up is Innervisions co-founder and house music don Dixon, who will make his first '10 appearance in the North for the event. He'll be joined by Motor City luminary Chez Damier, who will jet in from Detroit for a rare UK show. Damier has recently undergone a bit of a resurgence with modern house music fans due to the reissuing of classic tracks such as KMS anthem "The Choice" as well as new material via Berlin's Mojuba imprint. His position as one of the original DJs at the seminal Music Institute club should give you an idea of Damier's position in the hierarchy of Detroit DJs, and you can be sure that he'll have plenty of vintage house music to satisfy both the heads and the dancers.

Our special guest will be revealed at a later date, but there's plenty of hot local talent already lined up, with all of our trusty residents and DJs from Mono_cult and Hang The DJ. Bristol’s Futureboogie crew will even make the trip up from the South West to get the Infamous Gimp Room hopping.

Beware of imitations!
