PollerWiesen-Opening 2010


The PollerWiesen Opening will take place on Sunday, May16, 11am at Jugendpark Cologne!

Unfortunately the weather forecast for Thursday, May13 predicts cold temperatures.
However, there is a weather improvement in sight for the weekend. Besides warmer temperatures there will also be some sunny parts on Sunday. For this reason the PollerWiesen Opening will be postponed once again from Thursday to Sunday, May 16!
The Line Up on Sunday will be: ITALOBOYZ, SWAYZAK live feat. RICHARD DAVIS, JORIS VOORN, EDWIN OOSTERWAL, MARC LANSLEY!
Swayzak live feat. Richard Davis will be arriving from the UK. Swayzak’s Live-performance deserves to be ranked among the best that has ever been heaved on an electronic music stage. Their releases are not missing in any Vinyl Collection and even after 8 years their Mix Compilation of 2002 “Groovetechnology V1.3“is a major milestone of this class.

With his second album “Safety” Richard Davis, who was born in Britain, released a modern classic of House Music which has been praised from sites of DJ’s, Media and Fans.
It’s no surprise that Swayzak has invited him as a guest singer for their album “Loops From The Bergerie“. Their work together has been followed up by a Tour through Europe, USA and Japan.
At the PollerWiesen opening you can welcome them together now, too.

On top of this ITALOBOYZ, JORIS VOORN and EDWIN OOSTERWAL will provide for an exciting Line Up. In this way the circle of the Vinyl twisting Haute Couture is complete.

The one and only Italoboyz already tore apart last year's PollerWiesen Boat. It's a great pleasure to have those two crazies back on stage, presenting their witty and driving sound to our audience.

Also Dutchman JORIS VOORN is by no means an unknown quantity at the international Club Scene anymore. After successful first achievements, he scored big with his 2004 released Album “Future History”. In 2005 he even had a gig at the traditional Belgian Fuse Club. Since then he played himself into the closest circle of crowd favourites by a row of incredibly kicking Singles. Not only a DJ, but a DJ for DJs!

Appropriate support will come from Local Hero Marc Lansley, who’s a Cologne Club authority and who is one of the standard bearers of chaos. Even on the borders of awareness we push our luck, since everybody is going to pack their best Vinyl bag. Party noblesse obliges!

By the way it is still advisable to buy a Ticket in advance for the PollerWiesen Opening. Even in case we reach capacity everybody who owns a Ticket is guaranteed entrance. Tickets you have already bought of course remain valid. You can buy tickets here on our website or exclusively in the Adidas Originals Store Cologne, Ehrenstraße 70, for 10€ plus 2€ pre-sale fee.
