Stinky Auralex Foam

So I bought some Auralex Foam, installed it in my room and it freakin' stinks, literally.
Anyone else have any experience with this? I'm guessing the stink will go away but I'm wondering how long it will still prevail.

did you buy it new? the the stink should go alone in a little time....

that foam is treated with something strange from the factory, but it does fade after a little while.

i have some foam under my monitors and when i first brought them home and tore the bag open, i thought the same thing. after about two weeks or so, it seemed to be gone. i'd keep a window open to maybe help expedite the ventilation if i were you.

yesterday the whole day and today I have been running a ventilator in my room and had the windows open. It's better now but it still smells

I guess I will have to resort to the gas mask solution. Now I can make real minimal techno

i think its a different kind of plastic ... but most of this sh!t offgasses and should be ventilated for a while.

I'm pretty allergic to this sh!t when first opened. For me the smell doesn't go away for a comfortable way for at least a week. Then drags on slightly for a couple months.
