TINYXP Rev 10 or whats the best?

Well yeah I never have used it for music production, so I guess results will vary. There is a lot stipped out, so perhaps it's causing some issues

yeah... i dunno... i first heard about it here... and I have a friend also who likes these XP lite things... but he is also a linux dude and doesn't do much more than shell style admin stuff with the computer.

I know it boots up pretty quick but the driver thing and little weird quirks seem like its missing its standard life support. for me the positives do not outweigh the negatives.

what were your problems with the legit version?

I got a virus and used a programme called TDSSKILLER which deleted a registry file that i couldnt get back, it basically stopped my USB ports from working. I couldnt for the life of me get them back up so i did a reinstall but i thought id try Tiny...i'll be puttin sp3 back on soon.
Like you said, its more about space than performance.

holyshit dude! sux!!! sorry bout this...

when you get sp3 running again... check out those 2 apps autoruns and ccleaner... of course do your other windows optimizations that you know about... but i think you'll be pleased.
