Only audio effect can be plaed in this kind of track

Hi,
I just downloaded a kick layerng rack from quantize courses. designed to easily layer kicks (duh). anyway, ive put the adg file in the "instruments rack" map in the presets folder of ableton. However when i try to open it, all the way at the bottem of ableton it gives the following message: Only audio effect can be plaed in this kind of track.

Does anyone know what im doing wrong?

you are forgetting it is an instrument... these can only be on midi tracks.

Drop it into a midi track.

i find this hard to believe... is it a drum rack?
maybe try dragging it to an empty track.

what version of live are you on?

haha... looks busted... i have 8.0.4 on my pc... :/

tried dragging it to everything i could think of.

i have version 8.1 though... Ill update to 8.15 and report if it worked.
