when i used cubase i made the percussion's tracks directly in the audio track..it was really boring.

i dont think thats the right way to think about that.
there are many ways to get similer result, but some ways are faster and can get you other ideas on the way.

you can use Axon to control Battery and get similer results if you would have only using Battery. but with Axon your idea might get developed to something even better.
but those two things youll need to buy. does new ideas and ways to evolve your idea to something else worth it to you?
