iconic representation of sound (tattoo)

Hey,
I've been thinking about getting some ink showing my obsession for noice, and now the question has been bugging me for quite a while: "how do you represent sound visually so that it makes for a cool tattoo?"

Making some sort of waveform or so would be cool I guess, but perhaps there's something better to do. Ideally something very simple and iconic. If any of you have any ideas or so please share them with me! I'm not too interested in headphones or speaker cones and such

spend the money on music gear!

that's by far the best way to show your love for sound.

or find a good person that can draw or do visuals and see if they want to do a design for you.

daniel im afraid im not such an avid supporter of Apple products...

Oblio - true! but as it is im going to keep away from smaller purchases until i know what ive got like the inside of my pocket, and then get something new.
