try just searching for strings.
I've never wasted a single second from trying to synthesise a sound. Usually the times when I learn the most is when I get nowhere close to getting the right answer.. it forces you to try everything and be creative.
Help needed on producing a Detroit like string/pad sound.

Why dont you try typing Detroit pads or Detroit strings in the search engine then point me in the right direction as youve obviously found something my search never.
i said it because there has been lots of in depth threads about detroit type sounds, that went on for months.
