Can a Power Mac G5 get the job done?

I wouldn't go with a G5, there are far to many bits of software that are not compatible with the processor.

I just had to face the facts that it was time to replace my G5 Power Mac, too. It still performed well for Live, but was terrible in most programs that came out after Apple switched to Intel, and PPC support keeps dropping for lots of programs.
Do yourself a favor and don't get a G5 machine.
