Vocal FX trick - How?

There's something really cool going on with those vocals but i have no idea what's going on. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Don't know if exist some other plug-in that do just that job..anyway i think that the bitspeek works not so bad.

Maybe bit reduction and filtering as well

i usually just eat some acid for that effect.

I actually was messing around in ableton live when this track came out and I think it's the pitch modulation setting of the vocoder plugin.... haven't checked it out with a vocal sample though
