AMAM is thrilled to present its first full-length label compilation of new material! Founded in early 2010 by DJ/producer Alessio Mereu, AMAM’s distinctly classy beats and slinky grooves have emanated from its native Sardinian shores to the rest of the world, gaining a following of international DJs and dance music aficionados, leading to this 15-track statement appropriately titled Tha Global Manifesto.
Ranging from cozy house sounds to rigid techno tracks, with a fine balance between rhythm and melody, minimalism and grandiose gestures, Manifesto features a diverse array of players, from core Italian talent like Matteo Spedicati and Tobia Coffa to newer global contributors such as Berlin’s Namito and Alland Byallo, Paris’s Acumen and Timid Boy, and Santiago’s Felipe Venegas and Andre Butano.
Label boss Alessio Mereu (who, by the way, just released his first full-length solo album Tripolarity) curated this collection, having tested out all the tracks on dancefloors throughout Europe, and makes two appearances: the shuffley, summery “Our Girl” together with Time Has Changed label owner Acumen, and the dark and stormy “Feeling Scared” in collaboration with his AMAM homeboys Naph and Carlo Caronti.
Tha Global Manifesto closes with the lone previously released cut, taken from a recent 12” release: Detroit’s Shaun Reeves and Italian duo Tale of Us, both members of the Visionquest crew and currently situated in Berlin, team up to remix “Take Your Hat Off” by Lima-based Jay Haze, ending the compilation with a truly international statement.
Played and supported by Luciano, Marco Carola, Tim Green, Anthony Collins, Carlo Lio, Sis, Tim Xavier, Raresh, DJ W!LD, John Selway, Hell, Chris Carrier, Bryan Zentz, Someone Else, Alexi Delano, Kaiserdisco and many more
