It allows people to work on the same music from different locations. There is a chat box so you can talk about what you like etc,, it doesn't matter if you have different plugins as the sounds are bounced automatically so you can always hear the same as the other person has on their computer. Pretty sweet. Seems to work really smooth. There is a fully working demo out at the moment.
Software to allow you to produce with people online
Re: Software to allow you to produce with people online
meh!
its not hard to send files across to each other. plus when one person is working on one file, the other can be doing something on the other. then you swap and away you go again.

but don't you need the same DAW and plugins if you want to send stuff over to each other? I guess if your bouncing everything yourself to .wav then its the same but just bait quicker.

Cloud technology is very much setting the world on fire. Just wish I had a moment to get on with the software with a friend. I bet it would be really fun to use... i found the video very very interesting.

well you're both going to need this program, so its no different imo.soapz wrote:but don't you need the same DAW and plugins if you want to send stuff over to each other? I guess if your bouncing everything yourself to .wav then its the same but just bait quicker.
regarding plugins, you can either freeze tracks or as you say bounce down as audio. Most people tend to have the same plugins anyway I find, so its never been a problem for me. The file sizes can be large when using audio sure, but it only takes a few mins nowadays with supa dupa quick internet. I have always made stuff with other people on Reason and Ableton and its always been dead easy.
