really? because the the tr 909 isn't on hhs etc....

you are correct. the hh's and cymbol on the 909 are synthetically generated and the 808 is all analog.

well, that is cool. 808 all analog...hmmmm.analog hh. that would be cool to have....are there any other drum machines all analog with better midi?

not really unless you build one. the jomox xbase 999 is analog with a digital section. thats about as close as you get besides the jomox xbase 09. i've used the xbase 09 and you can get some really nice sounds from that thing. the control over each individual step in the sequencer is nice to changing volume and hit details. i think it was zapped by static electricity or something. every now-and-then it would just freak out and start doing double time until you reset it. midi worked pretty well too.

above is the face plate for the mb-808 (tr-808 clone) its been forever since this has been updated my progress on building this thing. i've managed to get the pcbs and i've been working on them when i have time. this is not a kit. i have to source all of the components and work with a collective of very creative people with building it. as you can see it has built in effect mods and midi in/out/thru implemented unlike the original.


(not software, dont ask me where to download it. its a new hardware revolution)

Looks cool! I love my 808 vst. I've only seen a real 808 once. No, actually twice.
