indeed, but since What people Play made their new site, they take the cake really :)

If you want to be on Beatport desperately: www.feiyr.com -> make account, pay them a fee to register your site on Beatport, go through a release or three four, and if the numbers are good, ask Beatport if they would take you on as a "direct" partner. The benefit with Feiyr is that you can chose which stores you want to release to, so if you ever get a direct account with Beatport you can easily change. With other distri's that's not (always) possible.

But I have to say that in the last 1½ years, our sales on other stores have increased significant....
Good news!

Well, whatever stores you feel are missing, just contact those directly. WPP are the most friendly people you'll meet probably, so just ask them.

It takes effort you know to start a label, don't believe all the blahblah that digital labels are just uploading your stuff and sitting back to see the cash roll in... just as in any business, it takes some serious work, and getting a contract with the good stores is step one of that.

Get off the board, get working

No... after a few releases you can contact Beatport directly, and say to them "hey, you saw our labels sells pretty good on your store through a distri, but I'd like to work with you directly". In the end, you make lots and lots more if you are associated with a store like Beatport directly. But it also takes a bit more time of course because you have to upload and fill in everything yourself too. Still, a night of doing that instead of watching South park reruns and you're set ;)
