The End was good in the late nineties before they upgraded their sound system. Before that Voyager @ The Complex in Angel was the best for techno nights, Carl Cox & Dave Clarke used to spin on a regular basis.

The supposed upgrade was a downgrade imo, the original setup had a much heavier sound to it. After the refurbishment the sound never quite hit the same levels.

i always thought it was a nice clean sound but was no match compared to fabric. i didn't start going clubbing until 2003 though.

Bloody hell, I went to the last drum n bass night at The End, and that system was pretty fucking heavy!!

Although in its later days it was sh!t. I remember playing there and a load of chavs started a big fight which got very messy.
