yep, mine is 5400, but i was writing about external drive. i would like to buy 7200 rpm drive with at least 8 or 16mb cache.

I ment that the 5400 drive on the Powerbook isn't that slow.

You should get a LaCie Porsche USB powered mobile disk. No extra powerslots needed when you are playing somewhere.

i have a lacie 250 GB external drive, and works smooth. not for taking it anywhere though, they are quite big. i just keep it at home, and take everywhere another compact external hd i have.

yep it is, i was think to change that for 100GB 7200rpm drive...

do you really think it's slow? once you loaded your tracks you don't need that speed anymore. It's just for carrying around music.
