The key note were also a point for me to buy a macbook pro . The heat is no problem. Its get hot, but every laptop does that.mattt wrote:my macbook crashed w/ a kernel panic the day i got it ... the result of me plugging some headphones into the headphones jack. fortunately that hasn't happened since.
it's a cool little laptop, but it gets way too hot ... especially in this summer heat. i would probably think twice if i had the chance to buy it again. i'm not that keen on the keyboard keys either ... much prefer the ones on the ibook. i don't regret the purchase, but i do think it has some serious flaws.
yeay macbook pro!
hmm. it is easy to get a macbook pro in a dark light. Maybe there is also existing a list for acer laptops. I think they also have a list from here to tokyo ! Thx for the link anyway! I have a insurance for mine, don't hope I get any of those problems hehe!provaznik wrote:really helpful link. thanks a lot...theclockstrucktwelve wrote:Not to scare anyone,
but this catalogs a lot of the common problems people have had with these machines. It doesn't mean if you buy one, you'll experience all these problems... it just means that problems do exist, and many of them can be fixed simply by googling around and finding the solution to the heat problem (easily fixed - google it like I said)

macbook ... and there are no fixes to my knowledge ... that don't involve me opening the thing up and checking if there's too much thermal paste on the CPU.theclockstrucktwelve wrote:Do you have macbook or macbook pro?
Also, the heat thing has a fix... just google it
i know they released a bios update for the pro, but not for the macbook yet.
