Very nice tracks! Looking forward to hear the finished versions very much.

It's a MD UW, right?

THank you very much viva hate. Yes, UW. I'm slowly starting to add the nord into the mix, and I must say it's amazing. Adds a whole new dimension to it. Getting better with the patterns too.

i just listened to your set
there R some nice sounds n grooves in it but way too many breakdowns and points there isnt a kick
funny to read your analyse of the closer to the edit cd.

Thx bionic. Here are some new patterns (recording distorted though):

and some stupid stuff done in 5 minutes but adding the nord running through a guitar pedal into the set:

wesen wrote:Thanks hydrogen. I know that de9 is a bit dated, but really I don't care, its sound fascinates me and it's still something I'd like to dance to and I think other people would enjoy in the club. Also, I have my own background of doing big funky basslines, which will flow into this set as well, it's definitely not gonna be a closer to the edit ripoff (that would be impossible anyway for the reasons you stated). I'm starting to realize that a lot of the things going on in de9 also have a big impact because of the good sound and mastering he has, giving it a very organic quality. Not something I'm gonna be able to do on the fly with the MD as well.
One of my favourite techno compositions. It's still a lot better than most of todays minimal IMO.

Some new stuff, getting acquainted with the nord. Not really there, but I really start to like that stuff. Also I'm slowly gravitating to my old style of big funky basslines, but they fit well into the other stuff.

Okidoki, still heavily working on it, everytime I fix myself the goal to record a longer set I end up discovering new stuff and working that into my patterns, but it's finally all coming together. I'm building patterns so that I can actually use what I call "subcombos", just a few tracks out of the pattern that stand on their own and have a cool/different feel to them. Also discovered some nice stuff on my micromodular. I'll get a kaosspad for resampling and additional effects (and to play some loops made on the computer). Anyway, here is some of the newer stuff, md5.mp3 I did today reworking old patterns, and that's what I mean by "it's all coming together":
