I have a macbook pro with an ultralight mk2 and a lacie connected to it. I use it with a FireWire 400 6-Pin to FireWire 800 9-Pin cable. work like a charm.

you can chain an hdd to the second FireWire port of the Ultralite ?!

there is more than 1 year garanty on it .
I bought it 8.06.09 .

And i payd 560 euro for the card .

Nope its only Bus-powered fire wire .
