Definition of Minimal Music?

most of the early techno records are fairly minimal.

todays concept of "minimal" is most of the time very wrong. minimal its not a music style, genre etc, its just an attribute given to a certain artistic manifestation (music, design, paiting, visual art, etc)
from my point of view, the current records coming out as "minimal" are really not minimal at all.

i'd define it as a stripped down kinda sound and also glitchy sounding aswell
