Indeed, UMEK was better at the harder stuff IMHO. But I still like his stuff as Zeta Reticula best. I really find it hard to better this one...

That stuff was more minimal than most stuff today is. :D

I was thinking yesterday that while i like lots of stuff for the production values i reckon i felt tracks like 'Lanicor' etc more?

:?:

tis all good i reckon ...

I have looked at in a spectrogramm (made with audacity),
it looks like chords (?) immediately bending upwards. Or rather some kind of arpeggio?

This is the spectrogram picture taken from audacity:

Any additional pointers on the production are very welcome as well.

Thanks!
Saw wave, filtered with a fairly neutral resonance (Q=0.7 or so) at maybe 2-300Hz or so, with a linear ascending pitch envelope. Stick an envelope on the filter frequency too so it goes up at the same rate as the pitch. It's a really simple bass; don't overdo it with fx.

And it's just one note; the "chord" pattern on the spectogram is just its harmonics.
Thanks, must have overread this post!

I hope I'm understanding this post correctly, are saying the 3 examples are not shite, compared to the original posters link, correct? As I find these 3 examples to be great, but the Slap bass thing is stupid...

sorry for the need of a clarification...
