not really able to donate at the moment... but THANKS ALOT for the tutorial..

its not that I don't get how massive works..

but following good tutorials that are EXACTLY the style of music i'm looking for really help FORCE the knowledge into my brain permanantly..

adding a third oscillator of sin-tri leaning more towarads the sine is a little smother.. especially with all three osc's amps at 1 o'clock.

also adding any type of noise with the amp at 7 or 8 and some type of lfo or even 4 Env

same for feedback

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Some nice music in this thread!

I am going to do another bank of patches, but this time it will be more like 30 or 40 patches in this style.

So is there any suggestions about what i should include?
more rhythmic patches perhaps, or dub stabs.... perhaps some organs, or just some stabs with big efx chains in there?

Any thoughts on this please and i'll try incorporate the ideas into the patch bank.

I'm more interested in actual tutorials than patches if thats of any help..

one thing I noticed from your tutorial in massive was how harsh the sound was... it is DEF a popular sound..

but i'm curious on how they get those blissful smooth stabs.. guys like Deadbeat and Lusine.

Where it sounds like air is pushing... I guess using fm techniques like they teach for wind instruments would be a good starting point ;)

I guess there aren't many dub-tech tutorials around because dub-tech artists don't really like to share their secrets :P

I'm OK to share (some of) my production habits but my English sucks so bad I wouldn't be able to write a useful tutorial. All I can do is pointing directions :)

1. Use vocoder for your chords !
2. Layer your chords.
3. Use side-chain compression to shape the chords' groove.
4. Work a LOT on automations (filter, resonance, filter envelope. amp envelope, fx, etc.)
5. Use tons of effects, virtual-synth raw sound just doesn't make it.
6. Use send fx to "glue" all the channels together. Dubtech is all about mood & textures.
7. Don't get stuck with Dm chords :P
8. Use field recordings as sound sources. You won't be disappointed :)
